摘要
QSAR studies of anti-HIV-1 and cytotoxic arylpyrrolylsulfones (1-51) have been discussed. The cytotoxicity of these compound is found to be dominantly controlled by electronic and hydrophobic factors whereas anti-HIV1 activity is controlled by steric factor. Significant correlations have been obtained between cytotoxicity and equalized electronegativity X-eq, partition coefficient log P, and anti-HIV-1 activity with molecular connectivity (1)x(b).
