A survey on health education on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention among 367 companies in Japan for their employees was conducted through a questionnaire. Individual counseling is found as the most popular form of education followed by lectures and then courses. The lecturers/instructors for those lectures or courses are mainly delivered by the staff members of their own health care offices. There are few cases in which lecturers/instructors are delivered by public health centers, municipal health departments, hospitals or local medical associations. The HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention programs with poor communication with outside agencies appears inadequate. The information and resources from a wider range of health related agencies are in need.
