摘要
This paper focuses on the characterization of the main challenges posed by the development of Industry 4.0 and the need for personal development and training of employees in industrial enterprises in Slovakia. It follows the field of new job requirements, focusing on the analysis of demand for job competencies corresponding to the Industry 4.0 requirements. The article describes the situation in Slovakia based on the analysis of data from quantitative research collected in 2018 on a sample of 534 employees in industrial enterprises, which provides information on the possibilities of personal development of employees and even on the problem of age discrimination in education in industrial enterprises. The observed empirical observations are also compared by gender, employee age, enterprise size, or employee job position and correlated with the degree of employees commitment to the company.
