Structural morphology of poly(urethane semicarbazide)-poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) blends

摘要
Structural morphology of a series of blends of poly(urethane semicarbazide) (PUS) and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) was studied by X-ray diffraction and dilatometry. As the PVP fraction in the blend increases from 0 to 100 wt %, the structural organization parameters vary in an extremal manner with a maximum observed at 30 wt % PVP. The PUS-PVP blends exhibit interaction between the tertiary nitrogen atoms of PVP and the COOH groups of PUS, which lead to the formation of ion groups and interpolymer complexes.
