摘要
A number of researches are available on performance appraisal and it impacts on various aspects of employee performance. But these researches are focused upon typical performance appraisal instruments like MBO and 360 degree feedback. There is insufficient research available on impact of confidential evaluations on employee performance in under developed countries like Pakistan. This study examines the relationship between performance appraisal and employee performance in public sector organizations of Pakistan. The data was collected from 135 people working at individual positions in leading public organizations. Results of this study indicate a strong positive relationship between performance appraisal and employee performance.
