The character of Robinson Crusoe was taken as a representative of the English bourgeoisie at the earlier period of its development. The novel gave praise the people who were brave, courageous, and full of spirit of exploration, but if we read it from the colonial culture perspective, we can find that the novel also showed the cultural colonialism. Robinson was quite practical and always religious and at the same time mindful of his own profit. His every voyage was connected with some commercial enterprise.
