摘要
This brief designs an artificial neuron circuit consisting of an inductor and an N-type locally active memristor (LAM). When the presented neuron circuit is excited by the DC or sine voltage signal, it can pick up the most significant features of a biological neuron: all-or-none, spiking oscillation, and chaotic behaviours. Local activity and edge of chaos theories are applied to analyze the electrical characteristics of the neuron circuit. Furthermore, the spiking mechanism of the circuit exhibits is investigated. The circuit implementation of the proposed neuron circuit is presented. Both simulation and experimental results demonstrate the practicability of the proposed neuron circuit and the validity of the theoretical analysis.
