Research on Concurrent Pattern of Network Server Based on Multi-core System

Leader/Follower pattern, pipeline pattern and Half-Sync/Half-Async pattern are three most frequently used in concurrent network server. This article firstly analyzes the characteristics of each pattern, and then has a further research on how to improve Half-Sync/Half-Async's performance in multi-core system. The authors focus on two aspects, one is the correlation degree between tasks when task allocating, and the other is the resource utilization when task scheduling. And then the authors implement the HH server based on SP server framework and simulate the multi-user concurrency with LoadRunner, the result shows that the algorithm could reduce the user's average response time and improve the multi-core's load balancing.
