Relations containing an exponential for describing the kinetics of drying of fibre materials are proposed. The relations can be used for concrete drying conditions for different materials. In the working range (from the beginning of reading the time of the process to the time the equilibrium moisture content is attained), the difference from the calculation with equations obtained by solving a one-dimensional isotropic diffusion equation is similar to1%. The curves obtained are compared with the experimental data for different types of drying of fibres and cloth (convective, hot steam) and centrifugal drying. The calculated curves are in good agreement with the experimental data in the working range. The generalizing drying kinetic curve describes periods of constant and diminishing drying rates. The values of the criteria for the generalizing drying curve delimited by the first and second periods of the process are reported. It was shown how to calculate the duration of drying and other process parameters in changing the drying conditions for the same material.
