The Rias Altas link. : A challenging crossing.

摘要：
An ambicious crossing located in the Atlantic coast of Nortwest Spain denominated the Rias Altas link is described in this paper. The proposal requires three exceptional structures, two suspension bridges with a main span length of more than 2 km and an arch bridge of 500 m. Technical and graphical information of the preliminary design is presented and the multidisciplinary approach involving aeroelastic analysis, advanced visualization techniques and design optimization methodology is explained.
