摘要
The paper puts forth a new model for traffic roadway for a sustainable Mega-city, which can solve the problems of traffic jam and occupation of farmland by the city and reconstruct the city as a compact city under the conditions of popular density of 15000 persons/km(2) and car ownership of 600 vehicles/1000 persons. The main points of the new model includes: (1) all traffic resources on the ground are used for motor vehicles; (2) all the roadways are reconstructed as expressway; and (3) 35% of the land of a city is used for constructing sparking places, over which arrange the elevated green belts, pedestrian system and buildings.
