摘要：
This paper provides concepts of transient recovery voltage (TRV) in ac high-voltage interruption. The ANSI/IEEE and IEC standards differ in the TRV profiles. This paper describes the TRV profiles according to these standards and compares these with practical calculations. Working examples of calculations in practical systems are included. ANSI/IEEE standards have now adopted IEC methodology.
