摘要
Continuation can promote EFL students' critical thinking skills, since it integrates students ' language input and output, critical reading and creative writing. The completion of continuation tasks involves students' critical reading, hypotheses development and assessment, creative imitation of language use, development and expression of new ideas, self-correction or self-modification by reasoning, and reflective thinking.
