摘要
Used in the context of a rigorous ultrasound analysis, the Breast Imaging-Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS (R)) category 3 is intended to catch up a few cancers (less than 2 %). The BI-RADS 3 ultrasound classification is very restrictive according to the American College of Radiology, limited to homogeneous, oval masses with circumscribed contours, complicated cysts or clusters of microcysts. Its use for other ultrasound lesions should only be considered if the radiologist has personal experience justifying a surveillance approach. (c) 2022 Published by Elsevier Masson SAS.
