摘要
Traditional simplified damping models have a great deviation from the practical situation, so a better one based on the energy balance principle is proposed here. Step-by-step integration theoretical expression energy-balance equation. method is used to get the of each energy term in Then an elastic SDOF system under seismic is taken for an example to obtain the dynamic effect, the energy distribution and the energy conversion process under the viscous damping. Finally, a new viscous damping coefficient is provided as a reference for dynamic structural analysis. The proposed model can well satisfy the demand of the energy balance principle.
