Viscosity and structure of liquid Cu-In alloys

摘要
The viscosity and atomic structure of liquid Cu-In alloys between 20 and 67 at.% In were investigated by means of the oscillating cylinder and the X-ray diffraction methods, respectively. Temperature dependencies of viscosity show the Arrhenius-like behavior for all investigated alloys. The increase of viscosity and activation energy of viscous flow in the concentration range corresponding to the existence of intermetallic compounds in the solid state was indicated. A pre-peak in the structure factors of liquid Cu-In alloys has been found. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
