摘要
FeCl3-catalyzed intramolecular reductive coupling of unactivated aldehydes and arylalkenes with isopropanol as a terminal reductant under mild and easy-to-handle conditions has been developed. A series of five-, six-, seven- and eight-membered carbocyclic alcohols were synthesized in moderate to excellent yields with high regioselectivities.
