摘要
Processes of softening water with a high level of hardness with alkali, soda, and lime using phosphate and sodium hydroxoaluminate have been investigated. It has been shown that the water softening degree increases with an increase of the medium pH and the dose of phosphate or aluminate. It have been found that the use of sodium aluminate makes it possible to reduce water hardness to 0.2-0.3 mgeq/dm(3) irrespective of the amount of natural water and is the most effective compared with the use of sodium phosphate. The article has determined the impact of sodium aluminate on the water purification degree of copper ions and showed that at the corresponding doses sodium aluminate secures complete removal of copper ions from the water.
