On the security of a public-key cryptosystem

摘要
In 1992, W. Webb proposed a public-key cryptosystem by using complementing subsets of polynomials over finite fields. Two years later, Qu and Vanstone showed that Webb's system is not secure by proving that any factorization of the elementary abelian group G = Z(p) circle plus...circle plus Z(p), must be a translation of a transversal factorization of G. In this paper we present a result that is stronger than the Qu-Vanstone result with a simpler proof.
