An analysis of the proton structure function from the gluon distribution function

摘要
We present a general formula to extract the proton structure function F-2(x, Q(2)) directly from the gluon distribution function G(x, Q(2)). This result is according to the M M Block method (Block et al 2008 Phys. Rev. D 77 094003) and derived from the leading order DGLAP evolution equation for the gluon distribution function. We have shown that the solution second-order linear differential equation for the gluon distribution function, as presented by Block, gives accurate results for the structure function when compared with GJR parameterization.
