We theoretically have investigated the properties of the phonon-polariton waves propagating in Kerr-type dielectric medium, and examined the conditions of appearance of the spatial solitons, cnoidal waves and polariton vortices. It is shown that the polariton flow can propagate in the form of spatial soliton, or can be split into several flows in the form of filaments depending on the field density and parameters of the nonlinear medium. In the polariton flow the vortices may appear at the presence of local inhomogeneities of medium refractive index causing the wavefront rotation.
