Disaster recovery system is a documented process or set of procedures that is derived by an organization to assist in the recovery or protection of the organization from natural or man-made disasters. The disaster recovery will cater to the IT systems of an organization while the business continuity tends to cater to all aspects of the organization. A disaster recovery plan could help in saving a lot of money and the future of an organization. There is different sort of control measures which are needed to be taken by an organization for disaster recovery. They include preventive measures, detective measures, corrective measures etc. A disaster recovery planner can prevent or control the damages from a disaster by undertaking number of well-defined strategies.
