Study on Autonomy Learning in Computer and Web-based Environment

摘要
For the last few decades, the primary learning themy has changed from behaviorism to constructivism. As a result, a large number of language scholars and educators have put great emphasis on learners, in an attempt to cultivate their autonomous learning abilities. It is the development of advanced technology, to be specific, the technology of computers and networks that pave the way for the reformation of second language teaching and learning. This paper presents the "Three-stages" teaching mode---a new way of promoting students' independent learning in computer and web-based environment. In order to testify its efficacy, questionnaires and interviews are used in the present study. Moreover, the authors make score comparisons to show the new mode is effective in enhancing language teaching and learning.
