Research on Development Patterns of Low-Carbon Economy in China

At present, the world is experiencing a climate change whose main feature is warming, which has become the crisis and challenges of the world. Low-carbon economy is the best pattern which reduces greenhouse gas emission and global warming. It includes five elements, low - carbon technologies, low- carbon energy resources, low - carbon industries, low - carbon cities and low carbon management. Finally, this paper makes some measures for developing low-carbon economy in China: priorities to save energy and improve energy efficiency; make low- carbon fossil fuels and develop renewable energy; set up carbon fund and encourage researching and developing low-carbon technologies; establish national carbon trade mechanism. The rapid economic development has led to the rapid growth of energy production and consumption needs. At present, our total greenhouse gas emission has been ranked second in the world. In this case, the concept of low-carbon economy emerged more and more attention of the international community. In recent years, our scholars have many positive and in-depth research of the definition of a low-carbon economy, and achieved certain academic achievements.
