摘要
With the development of telecom industry, the solution of energy saving and CO2 emission reduction has become a hot topic since competitiveness and social responsibility is more and more important. According to data statistics, cooling system has consumed up to 50% of total energy consumption to maintain battery temperature at around 25 degrees C by air conditioner. As an electrochemical product, VRLA battery is sensitive on ambient temperature. The service life of VRLA battery is reduced by half when the ambient temperature increases 10 degrees C. In this article, an innovative VRLA battery is introduced, which is specially designed for overcoming the challenges from high temperature, and applies for high temperature scenario. To quickly analyze the high temperature operation performance of the new batteries and to check whether it can meet or exceed the requirements of operating batteries in BTS sites under stressful temperature conditions associated with power outages. This article shows a new accelerated test instruction "High temperature + cycle service evaluation of VRLA cells for Vodafone and CMCC Networks" is developed under the direction of a test instruction drafting committee of China mobile, Vodafone and manufactures.
