摘要
The serviceability of a pulse ionization chamber tilled with liquid deuteromethane (LCD4) is confirmed experimentally. Deuteromethane with a level of electronegative impurities of 3 x 10(-9) equiv. O-2 has been obtained using Ni/SiO2 adsorbent. it is shown that for electric fields up to 3 kV/cm, the electronic properties of LCD4 are close to those of LCH4. The ionization chamber shows an energy resolution of 14%(FWHM) when detecting 1.2 MeV gamma-rays. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
