摘要：

This paper outlines a model that investigates balancing the competing needs and requirements of time to market, quality, and new product development costs while considering a firm's competitive objectives. The model is robust enough to consider an array of options, while being driven by the combined objectives of "speed to market" and the need for quality. These two forces are combined through the maximization of overall profit.
