摘要
The aim of this work is to designing and optimizing a Biosonar system for mobile robot navigation. It takes advantage of the perceived properties of animal sonar. An in-air biosonar equipment is introduced and tested to aid mobile robot navigation. Due to the optimization of the equipment, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the equipment achieves 60dB. This low noise equipment performs detection of multiple indoor landmarks with a success rate of about 95 percent. Experimental result indicates that a mobile robot with in-air biosonar system can achieve the ability of navigation in an indoor environment well. Since the reflection mechanism of outdoor and underwater environment are similar, this equipment should works also well in these circumstances if a little adaptation is performed.
