Previous years witnessed vivified interest in the location of new investments. Although it is mentioned only rarely, every investment has a particular spatio-temporal context. Economic landscape of each country is naturally derived from the categories at the state level, nonetheless in case of single investments we still tackle concrete location decision-making. Primary attention is usually focused on the demand side of the location process - i.e. on locational preferences of individual enterprises. Supply side, i.e. factors offered by various territories, were usually omitted so far. The objective of the article consists in the analysis and evaluation of activities, which are related to the investment attraction and are applied by 200 largest towns in the Czech Republic. Thus, the paper provides less frequented view on the theory and practice of location in the Czech Republic.
