摘要
Power supply industry is in transition, once again. Unlike previous transitions, which were unidirectional, such as moving from linears to switchers or from central power to distributed power, this time the transition is multifaceted:. Distributed power architecture is evolving from a traditional approach using isolated DC-DC converters to intermediate bus architecture using non-isolated converters. Furthermore, the entire DPA architecture is being implemented using power management scheme. DC-DC converters are evolving into "high-tech" products, but at the same time being challenged by VRDs-Voltage Regulator Downs/discrete semiconductors. a Standards and alliances in DC-DC converters have been created to ensure multiple sourcing. These multiple transitions are challenging old established business/revenue models and new business/revenue models may be evolving.
