MECHANISM OF INTERACTION OF CERTAIN FLAVONOIDS WITH PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE OF CELLULAR MEMBRANES

摘要
Complex formation of cellular phospholipid with 3,5,7,4'-tetrahydroxyflavonol (kaempferol); 3,5,7,3',4'-pentahydroxyflavonol 'quercetin); and 3,5,7,3',4',5'-hexahydroxyflavonol (myricetin) was studied using quantum chemistry and C-13 NMR spectroscopy. It was shown that complexes form through pi-electron systems. Chemical shifts of C-13 nuclei in various rings of the flavonoids and the choline of phosphatidylcholine that were generated through complex formation were determined. It was established that the most probable complex was that where ring C interacts with choline; ring A, simultaneously with the phosphate of phosphatidylcholine.
