Magnetic Field Effects on the Optical Properties of Double Semi-Parabolic Quantum Wells

摘要
The effects of magnetic field on the optical properties of the symmetric and asymmetric nanostructure double semi-parabolic quantum wells (DSPQWs) are investigated numerically for typical GaAs/AlxGa1-xAs. Optical properties are obtained using the compact density matrix approach based on the numerical calculation of the wave function. Results show that the nonlinear optical rectification has the maximum value in specified photon energy, and also the resonant peak value of this has the maximum value in specified applied magnetic field. We also investigate the nonlinear optical absorption and refractive index change and found that these properties can be control with controlling the magnetic field.
