Rapid scoring of seismic safety index for high-rise buildings in Shenzhen

摘要：
A Disaster Loss Assessment and Emergency Response System for urban Pan-Pearl-River-Delta Area has been developed based on Geographic Information System (GIS). This system, namely SafeCity, can be applied for purpose of urban planning, land developing, and emergency response management. As an application case of SafeCity, seismic safety index system for high-rise buildings in Shenzhen has been established. Supported by function modules of the system, a rapid sidewalk survey has been completed and seismic safety estimation on urban landmark high-rise buildings has been conducted. Preferential strategies for disaster prevention/mitigation and emergency management for the city of Shenzhen have been provided.
