A new series of substituted N-substituted phenyl-4-(1H-pyrrol-1-y1) benzamides 4(a-g) have been synthesized by reaction of 4-(1H-pyrrol-1-y1) benzoyl chloride (3) with substituted primary amines. The purity of the compounds was confirmed by melting point and TLC. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by analytical and spectral data. The title compounds were screened for their antimicrobial and antitubercular activities.
