摘要
A robust PID-type Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) for speed control of DC motors is proposed. Its performance is compared with that of a proportional integral (PI) controller under various load conditions to analyze set point tracking capabilities, disturbance rejection, and step response. Both control strategies (FLC and PI) were designed and simulated using Matlab's Fuzzy Logic Toolbox and Simulink. The simulation results have also been validated through real-time implementation using dSpace controller. It was found that the proposed fuzzy logic controller demonstrates smoother step response with minimal overshoot, greater disturbance rejection capabilities, and faster settling time than the commonly used PI controller.
