Translation strategies and literature for children

This article concerns itself with the translation of children's literature. The first part focuses on the specifics of texts for younger audiences, such as double readership and stylistic density. The second part presents the most common translation problems and strategies encountered in translating literature for children, such as purification or censorship. The last part analyses the translation of the book The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making and examines the applied translation strategies.
