摘要
(Figure Presented) Fuel for a DNA machine: A Fokl enzyme/DNA scission machine is triggered by the hybridization of its DNA hairpin structure with a target nucleic acid. The machine is fueled by a secondary fluorophore (F)- and quencher (Q)-functionalized nucleic acid 2. Scission of 3 leads to replication of the machinery cutter 1 and yields a fluorescent product 6, which provides an optical output for the machine (see scheme). © 2006 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
