摘要
This paper describes some questions of the creation of the intelligent computer-aided system for distance learning based on mutual application of hypertext technology, simulation and expert system. Such an approach to training of engineers allows: use of real-life computer technology in engineering design; use of computer models of the various technologic al processes and/or technical systems; automation of the assessment of students' knowledge and the development of their practical experience. All these features open wide possibilities for the creation of different courses for distance learning in engineering. The experience of some departments of Donetsk State Technical University shows that combinations of hypertext technology, simulation and expert system gives a good effect for creation of different applications for distance learning and increases the interest, educational level and activity of students. Such a teaching strategy is rather useful for both staff and students.
