摘要
The peculiarities of water dynamics and hydrological structure are considered from the data collected over sections from the coast to the center of the eastern part of the sea and during two surveys. The water circulation was essentially different from its general state. The Main Black Sea Current was located at a large distance from the coast and the velocities in its midstream reached 20-35 cm/s. Near the coast, there was a countercurrent whose maximum velocity was observed at depths of 80-200 m rather than at the surface. Anomalously low salinity was observed over the major part of this area in the upper quasi-homogeneous layer, which was caused by the anomalously high level of precipitation on the North Caucasian coast of the Black Sea in the summer of 2002.
