摘要
A new synthetic routetoward host-specific HC-toxin wasdeveloped.The HC-toxin belongs to a group of cyclic, tetrapeptide histone deacetylaseinhibitors containing the unusual amino acid Aeo. Key steps in thesynthesis of this building block include the Matteson homologationto generate the stereogenic centers in the side chain and a C-Hfunctionalization to connect the side chain to a protected alanine.
