摘要
In this article, the author summarises Stephen Porges' theory, which, as the American neuroscientist states, is intended to 'provide neurophysiologically plausible explanations for many of the experiences described by people who have experienced trauma. For these people, the theory provided an understanding of how their bodies had tuned in response to a life-threatening event and lost the resilience to return to a safe state'.
