摘要
This paper presents the various methods involved in extracting the electrical properties for Geo materials at radio frequencies from 10KHz - 500MHz. The radio frequency signal propagation gets affected by the characterization of the materials and their propagating medium. Extraction of frequency dependent complex relative permittivity and conductivity helps to provide complete database for numerical simulations of electromagnetic wave propagation. From the various methods investigated ASTM D4935 and probe method were selected for extracting electrical properties of the soil and parallel plate capacitor method for concrete. The measured data is compared with the reference data using Altair Feko.
