摘要
Economic dispatch for a utility refers to the optimal allocation of various available generations to meet load demand with the lowest cost. Compared to the traditional grid configuration, the modern grid has distributed generations like large solar plants and electrical vehicles (EV) integrated into the system. Real-time pricing (RTP) is another new feature introduced in the smart grid environment. These new factors, along with accurate load forecast, are needed to plan optimal power system operation. This paper presents an economic dispatch framework considering mixed generation with large-scale photovoltaic (PV) plants, EV charging, and a real-time pricing scenario based on LSTM prediction of daily load. Cost analysis for different cases has been discussed and implemented in the cost function. An improved PSO algorithm is implemented to get the economic dispatch compared with the traditional genetic algorithm (GA) output for a microgrid.
