Contributions of the proposals of professional training in the University: the case of the University School of Trades of the UNLP

A research work is presented aimed at reconstructing the contributions of the university training proposals for the redefinition of the educational and labor senses of the students who go through the university. Particularly, it is analyzed the socio-educational and labor characteristics of the graduates of the University School of Trades (EUO) of the National University of La Plata (UNLP), created in 2008, being the first professional training school at the level in Argentina.The methodological approach adopted is qualitative, aimed at finding links and meanings between a set of data sources and conceptual contributions on the subject. A set of secondary data (statistics and narratives) is used, whose analysis is aimed at interpreting: I) the links and resignifications around the work tasks assigned according to gender division; II) the educational contributions of the courses and the meanings around the processes of educational segmentation; and III) the relationship between training and job placement, which allowed us to discuss the linear and functional idea between what is learned and the work done.
