摘要
Terminological ontologies are a knowledge organiza-tion system that has gained great popularity in recent years due to its advantages in the representation and structuring of domains in the digital context. Theoretical aspects and applications have been discussed in the literature, but there are not enough bibliometric studies. This article analyses the scientific production on termi-nological ontologies from a bibliometric approach. The scientific production on the subject registered in Web of Science, Scopus, WorldCat, Dialnet, Redalyc and Google Scholar is studied. The following aspects are analysed: the temporal range of the literature, its dia-chronic growth, the typology of the published docu-ments, the languages of publication, the journals with the largest number of papers, the productivity of the authors, the degree of collaboration and the citation rank. We found 216 publications by 420 authors over a period from 1997 to 2022. The published documents correspond to books, book chapters, articles in aca-demic journals, papers in conference proceedings and dissertations. The predominant language of publication is English. The core group of producers is consists of 13 authors. The production on the subject shows a growth peak between 2007 and 2016, currently shows a high production trend and a high degree of collabo-ration prevails in the literature.
