Terminological ontologies are a knowledge organiza-tion system that has gained great popularity in recent years due to its advantages in the representation and structuring of domains in the digital context. Theoretical aspects and applications have been discussed in the literature, but there are not enough bibliometric studies. This article analyses the scientific production on termi-nological ontologies from a bibliometric approach. The scientific production on the subject registered in Web of Science, Scopus, WorldCat, Dialnet, Redalyc and Google Scholar is studied. The following aspects are analysed: the temporal range of the literature, its dia-chronic growth, the typology of the published docu-ments, the languages of publication, the journals with the largest number of papers, the productivity of the authors, the degree of collaboration and the citation rank.
