Social technology and Federal Institutes of Education in Brazil: a mapping in the transforma base of the Banco do Brasil foundation

摘要
Faced with the need for solutions aimed at social and sustainability demands, Social Technology (TS) becomes a possibility for reducing social and economic inequalities. This article, through a qualitative and quantitative approach, analyzes the production of Federal Institutes in the development of Social Technology, based on innovations, whether in process or product, which were certified by Fundacao Banco do Brasil and made available at the Bank of Social Technology, called Transforma. Of the more than one thousand certified technologies that make up the TS database, five were found with titles linked to the Federal Institutes of Technological Education, with the latter having the predominance of the Education theme in the solutions presented and its correlation with environmental actions that impact on meeting objectives of important sustainability. In this context, it was observed that, in Federal Institutes, in addition to technical knowledge, it is important to develop professionals with a view to society and the challenges of a socio-environmental nature.
