摘要
The piezoelectric composite is an innovative approach to enhance the performance of ultrasonic transducers. Their enhancement is reflected in broad bandwidth and high sensitivity. Recently, a multidimensional composite structure with outstanding properties has been proposed. However, the complex nonlinear relationship between composite structure parameters and material properties limits the application of ultrasonic transducers. In this article, a theoretical mathematical model and the finite element analysis (FEA) model are constructed, and an efficient design solution with comprehensive consideration is proposed to solve the above problems. To obtain the optimal design parameters, FEA simulation and artificial intelligence algorithms are used. Then, a batch of the 4.5-MHz piezoelectric composite ultrasonic transducers (PCUT) with high sensitivity (V-pp similar to 1.96 V) and robustness performance is designed and manufactured, and then, the prepared transducer is used for ultrasound imaging tests, showing high imaging resolution. Therefore, this structural optimization strategy can further optimize the design of the composites, improve the performance of the PCUT, and promote the better performance of the manufactured transducer in ultrasonic applications.
