摘要
Upon the past few years, numerous researches were carried out for green synthesis of various metallic nanoparticles which are environment- friendly as well as cost effective, having enormous applications in biological as well as non-biological fields. Lantana camara is a perennial, notorious weed with fundamental medicinal applications. It has been largely introspected for the fabrication of several metallic nanoparticles such as silver, gold, copper, iron, zinc, palladium and platinum with the means of leaves, fruits, flowers, roots and seed extracts of Lantana camara. So far anticipated phyto-constituents present in L. camara includes triterpenes, flavanoids, tannins, saponins and alkaloids. Further characterization of these nanoparticles was done by different analytical techniques like X-ray diffraction, HRTEM, SAED, FT-IR, DLS, SEM, TEM, EDX and UV-VIS. It can be concluded that, due to presence of various types of phytochemicals, L. camara can be used in synthesizing metallic nanoparticles to achieve significant objectives in medical domain.
