摘要
COVID-19 is an infectious disease that has significantly altered life and urban planning in recent years. The context for an abrupt reduction of urban spaces, leading us to reflect on a domestic environment, which has become the use of our refuge in a safe environment this time. The Objective to assess the effects of housing quality on transmission and lethality during the COVID19 pandemic. A survey of data on contagion and deaths was carried out for a period of 13 months in the city of Taubate (SP) and the most lethal neighborhood was identified, with values above the Brazilian average. After the restrictions of the neighborhood, there were excessive elevation conditions, with lifting devices in all the built details and edicules, warnings and measures in all the built details in the structures that present deficiencies in the protection and excessive lifting measures in the protection conditions. These factors are already a consensus as being the causes of infectious diseases in the respiratory literature such as Covid19
